Our next race was a lot tighter with our team securing third spot and a ticket to the Silver Cup final. Cue one of the most exciting race finishes of the season, mere 2.37 seconds separating the entire race. Sea Cukes & Loreley Thunder were stroke for stroke the entire course. Who would win it? We crossed the line and neither team knew. when the times finally came through its was Lorely for the win by a mere 0.13 seconds. Sea cukes a triumphant first runner up to our next door neighbours for the day. Congrats Lorely it was a great race!

On to the mixed small boat and the sneaky but cheeky, race within a race. Unbeknownst to us, our fearless captains pit team mate against teammate, reavealing at the end of the day that team 1 was infact racing team 2 with a prize given to the team that posted the fastest time of the day. So huge shout out to Team 2 for taking time honours on the day and their prize of first round of drinks. Team one should of course be acknowledged for qualifying us for the GOLD CUP FINALS of the day and Team 2 posted a time 1 second faster securing us 3rd runner up.
